LUCTO believes that conservation and community development are two sides of the same coin. We empower local people to become stewards of the environment while building sustainable livelihoods.
Aware of the threats the degraded environment is exposing to the people of this area due to human activities and natural hazards such as floods, landslides, prolonged drought, we awaken people's potentials to exploit sustainably the natural resources around them. Our programs integrate modern scientific ideas with indigenous knowledge.
